Leadership Seminar – Summer 2021

During July 2021, a delegation of Masorti/Conservative representatives from North America came together with their counterparts in Israel to meet with Israel’s President, Isaac Herzog, a number of members from his cabinet, members of the Knesset’s ruling coalition as well as members of the Knesset’s opposition.

Over the course of three days, delegates met with Israeli political leaders to raise concerns and to restore the relationship between Israeli and Masorti/Conservative Jewry. Topics raised include advancing the Kotel Deal, which has been put on hold, advocating for the rights of Jews who convert or marry and increasing government funding for the movement in line with other streams. Discussions with representatives were fruitful, and the delegates were warmly received.
