Israel at War | Statement on the recovery of the bodies of the murdered hostages from Hamas captivity in Gaza

We are heartbroken by the disturbing and devastating news about the recovered bodies of the six [brutally] murdered hostages from Hamas captivity in Gaza: Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Ori Danino, Eden Yerushalmi; Almog Sarusi, Alexander Lubnov, and Carmel Gat z”l.

There are truly no words to capture the immense pain and sorrow that the entire Jewish People are feeling today. Six whole worlds were taken from us, after enduring 11 months of unimaginable suffering, leaving their families in a state of irreversible grief. Six families who fought tirelessly and relentlessly to bring their loved ones home - are now broken forever.

Goldberg-Polin, Danino, Yerushalmi, Sarusi, and Lubnov were abducted from the Nova music festival near Kibbutz Re’im by Hamas terrorists on October 7, while Gat was abducted from Kibbutz Be’eri. May all of those who were recovered yesterday rest in peace.

Our thoughts and prayers are with their families during this time of unimaginable pain, as well as with the families of the three victims in today’s terror attack, as we continue to demand the immediate release of the remaining 101 hostages who are still being held captive in Gaza and pray for an end to the suffering of all innocent people.
